Protein (P)

Protein foams contain natural proteins as the foaming agents. Unlike other synthetic foams, protein foams are bio-degradable. They flow and spread slower, but provide a stable long lasting foam blanket that is more heat resistant and durable, providing maximum burnback resistance. Protein foams have a high resistance to fuel pickup and exhibit excellent sealing action which makes them ideal for extinguishing and securing flammable hydrocarbon liquid fires.
