ZDDP

ZDDP is used as anti-wear additives in engine oils to protect heavily loaded parts, particularly the valve train mechanisms.

ZDDP

Zinc dialkyl dithiophosphate commonly known as ZDDP, is an important anti-wear additive used in lubricants. It plays a crucial role in protecting high-load contact points, such as camshaft lobes and followers, as well as preventing premature engine wear. ZDDP also acts as an antioxidant, which helps to extend oil life under harsh conditions.

However, it’s important to note that there is an optimum level of ZDDP, as too little won’t offer enough anti-wear protection, but too much can increase friction and wear. Nonetheless, technology is available to cover both automotive and industrial applications, and ZDDP offers strong wear performance and excellent oxidation control.

Apart from engine oils, ZDDP is also used as an anti-wear agent in circulation oils, hydraulic fluids, and certain other products. It is an effective inhibitor of oxidation, which makes it an essential component in many lubricants.

We can supply in IBCs, Totes, or barrels.

Other Key Benefits:

It is also used as an anti-wear agent in circulation oils, hydraulic fluids and certain other products. This is also an effective oxidation inhibitor.
