Biocides

Microbial growth occurs where there is water in fuel and fuel storage tanks. If not managed correctly, bacterial growth can result in severe fouling in systems, loss of functional properties and rapidly accelerated corrosion.  To minimize the risk of microbial growth SBZ recommends the rigorous removal of free water. In addition to this, a regular dosing regime of biocide at a low treat rate will reduce the need for shock treatments. SBZ has a range of biocides with widespread approvals. They have good solubility in fuels and water. They are completely combustible in fuels with no corrosive combustion products.
